Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM as your driver picks you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Travel through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at panoramic viewpoints along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy a coffee break before continuing to the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and Prince of Persia.
After exploring the ancient mud-brick village, head to Ouarzazate, also known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Here, you'll see the impressive Kasbah Taourirt before driving through the fragrant Rose Valley. Stop at a local distillery to learn about the production of rose-based products. Finally, travel through the mesmerizing Dades Valley, where you'll admire traditional kasbahs and unique rock formations known as the "Monkey Fingers." Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a charming hotel in the Dades Gorges.
After breakfast, continue your journey along the ancient caravan route towards the Todra Valley. Stop at a scenic viewpoint before reaching the breathtaking Todra Canyons, where towering rock walls rise up to 300 meters high. Take a leisurely walk through the gorge before heading towards the gateway to the desert, Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils and annual date festival.
Arriving in Merzouga by early afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable camel trekking experience. Ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping at the highest dune to witness a mesmerizing sunset over the Sahara. Upon arrival at your luxury desert camp, enjoy traditional Berber hospitality, delicious cuisine, and live music around the campfire. Rise early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Your journey back to Marrakech begins with a scenic drive through the desert plateau of Nkob and the lush Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most picturesque palm groves. Stop at the Berber village of Agdez for a panoramic view before continuing through the Ait Saoun Pass and back to Ouarzazate.
From here, retrace your route over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech by late afternoon. Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure.
