The 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Adventure offers a unique and private journey through Morocco’s stunning landscapes, linking the two imperial cities of Fes and Marrakech. This unforgettable tour lets you explore the beauty of Morocco’s southern regions, including the vast Sahara desert, charming villages, and majestic mountain ranges.
Your adventure starts with a visit to Ifrane, often referred to as “Little Switzerland” due to its cleanliness and alpine-style architecture. The tour continues through picturesque cedar forests, where you’ll encounter playful Barbary monkeys. After crossing scenic valleys and small villages, you’ll arrive at Merzouga, where a camel ride takes you deep into the desert to spend the night at a luxurious desert camp. Your private tent comes equipped with comfortable beds, warm blankets, and an en-suite bathroom and shower for a night of relaxation under the stars.
The second day of the tour brings you to Erfoud, known for its fossils, and through the majestic Todgha Gorges before reaching the Dades Valley for another night of rest. On the third day, you’ll explore Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakech.
The adventure begins with your pick-up from your Fes accommodation. Your first stop is in Ifrane, known for its Swiss-like atmosphere and clean streets. You’ll continue to the cedar forest to observe the Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Afterward, a scenic drive takes you to Midelt, famous for its apples, where you’ll stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll cross the impressive Ziz Valley and pass through charming villages. Stop for panoramic views and photos before continuing towards Merzouga. Upon arrival, enjoy a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, culminating in a breathtaking sunset. In the evening, head to your desert camp for a delicious dinner, followed by a traditional music performance under the starlit sky.
Start the day with an early sunrise over the dunes, a perfect moment for photographs. After breakfast at the camp, ride your camel back to the starting point where your driver will be waiting.
Your journey today takes you to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils, where you’ll have the chance to visit a fossil craft workshop. From there, you’ll drive to the picturesque Todgha Gorges, known for their dramatic cliffs and beautiful landscapes. Continue to the Dades Valley for a visit to Boumalne Dades, a charming village where you'll spend the night.
On the final day, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading toward the Rose Valley, known for its fragrant roses and annual flower festival in April.
Next, you’ll visit Ouarzazate, also known as the "City of Silence." Explore the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site featured in films such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Afterward, drive through the Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos along the way.
Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel or riad, marking the end of your 3-day Fes to Marrakech Desert Adventure.
