This journey will take you through the Middle Atlas Mountains, across the Sahara Desert, and into the heart of Morocco’s history, with stops at iconic sites such as the Todra Gorges, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and Ouarzazate. Along the way, you’ll ride camels through the mesmerizing sand dunes, spend a magical night under the stars at a desert camp, and explore the vibrant city of Marrakech. This is the perfect tour for those seeking an unforgettable adventure in Morocco’s stunning natural beauty and heritage.
After breakfast, we begin our journey towards the Sahara Desert. Our first stop is Ifrane, often referred to as “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its charming alpine-style buildings. We’ll take a quick visit to the stone lion and continue to Azrou, where you can interact with the wild Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, famous for its apples, we drive through the Ziz Valley, passing panoramic views, and continue to Erfoud. From here, we head to Merzouga, where camels will await to take you through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, giving you a chance to watch a stunning desert sunset. You’ll spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying Berber music and a cozy atmosphere under the starlit sky.
After a peaceful night in the desert camp, wake up early for a beautiful sunrise over the dunes before heading to Tinghir, known for its impressive palm groves and the famous Todra Gorges. We’ll explore the gorges and enjoy lunch along the way. In the afternoon, we drive to Boumaln Dades, where we’ll spend the night in a hotel located near the picturesque Dades Valley.
Today, we leave Boumaln Dades and head towards the Rose Valley, where the fragrance of roses fills the air. We’ll visit Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” and explore its famous film studios. After lunch, you’ll have free time to stroll around the city. We’ll spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, we drive to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its distinct mudbrick architecture. After visiting the kasbah, we’ll enjoy lunch and continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N'Tichka pass. Arriving in Marrakech, you can relax at your riad or hotel for the night.
In the morning, we’ll take a guided tour of Marrakech’s most famous attractions, including the Jemaa el-Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque, and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. After lunch, we’ll drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day desert adventure.
